6th August 2005 ( Part Two -- The Performance)

After the highly-entertaining rehearsal, we just sat there under the scorching hot sun... There were some performances going on on the field lah~ some kind of NDP pre-show... Den got the president coming, the parachute showcase etc... Den still got the very noisy tank coming in... Bomb here bomb there... VERY LOUD and NOISY!!!! While all these were going on, us Mayday fans were all anticipating eagerly for Mayday's appearance on 933 loh.... Though its just a very short tele-interview, got quite a bit of info! At least, we confirmed that they are really preparing a new album! And this album is going to be released before Final Home Singapore.

After the interview and the show, all of us are now ready to dash across the field and get a best position we can in front of the stage! But the marshals prohibited us from doing tat.. saying there are explosives on the field, we cannot just go step on it like that...... I was like -_-''' I got nothing to say loh...... anyway, we needed them to set up the barricates properly before we can start queuing... Just when we thought we can start queuing, there came the hoo-haa of the Singtel queue, the tics queue etc~ wah piang!!! so ma fan can!!!!!! But luckily we weren't very behind in the end... 2nd row! still not bad lah! hahaa......

ok~ soon enough, the performance started! The fireworks really very nice and magnificent! They really matches very well with the background music! Though a big part of it was blocked, I still managed to get the overall pic of it! very nice! Can I just skip the part where Rui en n Taufik missed the cue and came onto stage only when the theme song had been played once? And the $600 flying machine thingy?

Quite amazed by Peifen's voice and breadth! She can really bring up the atmosphere with her voice ah~ ok... The performance kicked off with 动静乐团, very expected... I wasn't very high, or rather, not even high at all..... their songs sound rather similar to me... the only thing tat really caught my attention is their Jay-Chou-looking 团长！ I kept saying that "他真的很像姓周的！" Den they tok abt some 支持五月天 den must 支持他们的师弟！ I was not very happy abt them saying this man.....

自然卷 up next! I am slightly more high~ sang along with 坐在巷子的那对男女！娃娃 can really sing live loh.. its almost the same as from CD... but I must confess ah... I almost fell asleep when they sang the 99滴眼泪。。。 I was already very tired wor~ after queuing under the sun for more than 8hrs!

于恒 was ok lah~ can hear that her throat not in very good condition... den she sang only 3 songs.. At this point, I kept wondering who is the other artist?? den weiting told me she really saw this other artist on the poster...

Wah~ the mysterious artist finally appeared sia~ One look, I said "哦~ 走 bimbotic 路线的。。。" Me, weiting and ying ying were very puzzled by the fact that she kept touching her breast! and that she is only 17! After she finished singing 2 songs, Peifen needs to interview her in order for the technician to get the instruments ready... So Peifen asked "她唱歌好听吗？" I noe everybody will say "不好" but like tat very bad leh... so just force myself to say "好"....
Den in the midst of the interview, some ppl beside me just went shouting "五月天！五月天！" and asking tat artist to go down the stage... very bad hor??

OK!!! FINALLY THEY ARE ON STAGE!!!! Cos the rest are busy setting up the instruments, only Ashin is free to tok, Peifen asked him some question abt the new album. Den Ashin reply "这是机密!" Since cannot prompt further, she just went on asking about their concert. And Ashin promised that he will give more details about the concert later during their performance! haha.. Den we start to get high liao~ hehe...

1st SONG : 孙悟空
We started jumping just before the Dadadada~ part... haha... the usual feat! Me and weiting guessed it correctly! We knew this is going to be the 1st song! haha... Den just when we were very high, this song ended and the 2nd song started without warning!

2nd SONG: 终结孤单
First surprise of the evening! Nv thought they would sing an old song... but everybody just got VERY HIGH!!!!! Den the "heyheyhey" part!! haha....... Ashin say we shouldn't just "heyheyhey" must say "生日快乐 生日快乐" we just followed suit!! haha.....
When this song ended, Ashin said "没事干么那么high? 才第二首而已。 还有(look at his palm) 七首leh!" When he said this, I was like "不要骗, 怎么可能？" Den after this the 3rd song came in!

3rd SONG: 志明与春娇
Second surprise!! When the intro came in, me and weiting and ying ying were like "AH!!!!!! 志明与春娇!!!!!" Den jumping up and down very excitedly!!! Den goes the "woo~ yeah yeah yeah" part.. Though I thought it was quite soft lah.... compared to their concert..... but the feel is there lah~ hahaa...... Den I turned to tell weiting and ying ying that, " i think they are trying things out for their concert! see how's our response" After the great sing-along the 4th song came!

4th SONG: GA QIA! (dunno the chinese pronounciation ah.. paiseh... aka Car-Racing in english)
The BIGGEST surprise of the night!!!!!!!!!! when they just played the 1st few notes on the guitar, I heard somebody said GA QIA!!! I was like "不会吧， 怎么可能？" But it REALLY IS!!!! Kao~ Its the concert version loh!!!! the "zhuey ding lai ga qia zhuey ding lai ga qia" part! The part where Ashin sang one sentence den we follow~ The whole picture I had in my mind while listening to FH concert CD just came!!! I realised I wasn't listening to CD anymore!! Ashin is singing LIVE and its the Singapore fans that are echoing him!!!! The feeling is SUPERB!!!
After this BIG BIG BIG surprise, each member 发表 their 感言。 Stone went saying "真的很高兴， 这次来到新加坡。。。" den Ashin just shoot back "你那一次不高兴？" hahaha..... very funny loh......

Den Masa said something but cos the mic got problem, cannot hear.... until the "祝你生日快乐" Den Ashin said "怎么只有一句？" Masa den replied "反正这首歌每句都一样" haha...

Den it was Guai Shou! He said something about wishing Singapore happy birthday etc... Den Ashin said something like "每个都是讲一样的话，可见是没有做什么准备！" Den he just asked Guai Shou "怪兽！ 几岁生日？" Guai Shou replied "四十阿" Den Ashin stoned for awhile... Den trying to be funny saying "我是问你几岁" Guai shou just say "我二十九阿" Stupid rite? haha.......

Den up next is Guan You! Ashin said "冠佑今天穿了一件 t-shirt! 上面写着 HAPPY, 但是 HAPPY 后面加了一个问号。 所以我们也不知道他到底是高兴还是不高兴！" Den he told Guan You "如果高兴的话，你打一下， 如果不高兴的话，你就打两下！" Den that Guan You went to hit a rhythm wor~ Its like doing a super mini drum solo... Den Ashin stunned!!! Den he continue "那到底是几下？" haha....... Super funny loh!!!

Den before they continue with Song 5, Ashin said something like "来一首比较新的！ 目前为止唱不到3次！如果有谁出错，就得跪下！新加坡的国庆， 怎么能出差错呢？"

5th SONG: 花
The song only reaches its 2nd sentence and Ashin sang the wrong lyrics! hahaha..... Guai Shou almost went over to his side, to make sure he kneel down! haha.... Ashin den very 乖 n zi dong，knelt down on the floor and sang until the whole chorus finished I think! Another very high song wor~ haha...... My main aim to see them perform this song live is to look at Guan You's drum!! Weiting's to see Masa's bass solo! We both managed to do it! haha...... Den when Ashin sang the last chorus, me n weiting sang the 和声！ "风雨过去 看天空" den realised, none of the 5 of them sang that part loh...... its like the BEST part of the song can?! haha....

Before singing the 6th song, Ashin say he have to "脱掉鞋子" Den Guai Shou said "好臭哦！" Den the whole audience went YEE~~~ haha...... very loud wor~ But Ashin ignored lah~ He just said "奇怪，脱了鞋子，麦克风好像变高了。" we were all like DUH!!!! haha....

6th SONG: 温柔（还你自由版）
The dialogue part before the "我给你自由， 我给你自由", me and weiting were like saying sentence by sentence even before Ashin said it out! hahaha.... so funny!!! we can memorise so well liao~ Den the jamming part was EXCELLENT!!!!! No other word for it!!!!! Guai shou and Shi Tou! WOOH!!! Ashin oso lah~ He so cute leh..... when he went to the back and lowered his body and head facing down!!! haha.....

After this song, Ashin said "要把鞋子穿好，因为有一个大人要来了！" Den he went on introducing Emil Chau! Den Emil Chau very funny wor~ he said he cannot perform like Mayday... Den he just played his guitar and sang 1st few sentence of 朋友 in a rock fashion! haha.... We continued singing even after he stopped! haha.. ..
Emil Chau went on saying that he and Mayday's relationship quite good one! cos "我们都是认为自己长的不错的人" haha... very funny hor~ Mayday themselves oso laughing loh... haha......

Anyway, they performed Beatles' "Get Back" and Bob Dylon's "Knocking on Heaven's Door"!! One thing that I kept doing throughout these two songs was to turn to weiting and said "OMG!!!! Ashin 的和声很好听！！！" Cos you dun usually get to hear him sing 和声 mah.... I was totally mesmorised by his 和声 loh.... He can sing so high pitch somemore!!!!!! Kao!!!! Its something I nv thought he could leh~ My admiration for him increased again~ When Emil Chau left the stage, I really thought he would come back again later~ I really did...

7th SONG: 倔强
Another great sing-along!!! Can feel the encouragement! haha.. very funny... Cos at a point of time, my eyes were getting tired and I rubbed it... den weiting came asking me am I ok? haha... she thought I crying ah~~ I told her "没有啦!" haha....
Den after this song, Think they waited for the audio to play before they join in.... But it did not came... Den Guan You just have to start with his drum beat...

I think its after this song Ashin said something like "Final Home 新加坡演唱会的日期已经在今天下午确定了！Final Home 将会在 十二月十号 在新加坡与大家见面。。" I really cannot remember the exact words lah~ But I can remember how high everybody gets when Ashin announced the date loh!!! I was like jumping up n down and telling weiting and ying ying "12月10号！" den kept repeating.. haha.....

8th SONG: 人生海海
This was a surprise during rehearsal! So it wasn't much a surprise during the actual performance! I know that meiyun n weiting really loved this song! And I grew to like it more and more! While Ashin sang, I really have this sudden urge of crying leh~ Its like.... SO ENCOURAGING!!!! Den I remembered many ppl said before "Whenever you are feeling down or unhappy, just blast 人生海海！ and everything will just be fine!" I had this sudden feeling that this is really true!!!!! Den in my mind, all the memories of how I din really like like Mayday and until how I really like them and so crazy about them just appeared! Its truly amazing how all these can happen! At that point of time, I really thank God for all these!

9th SONG: 听不到
The encore part was great loh....... when everybody just shouted "五月天" together! Can really sense that the whole crowd is awaken! Its not like in the beginning, where only a few here and there were high... We just continued jumping up and down loh~ haha..... We had been doing this THROUGHOUT almost EVERY song! I hope the person standing beside me doesn't get too irritated about it.. haha......

After the whole performance, I realised that not taking any photos or videos is a Right decision!!!! I had never enjoyed myself so thoroughly!!! Of course the choice of songs that night was SURPRISE after SURPRISE! Its really a Concert loh....... After that night's performance, I suddenly felt that 10th Dec is a super Super Long time away leh~~ I hope they will come more often before that... Dunno heard from who/where, they say they will come once every month starting from this month leh~ haha... I hope its true!!!! Which I think can be highly possible oso~ Nx mth is the award thingy and they are gg to Malaysia, and since Singapore is so close to Malaysia... haha..... den how... they say their new album coming up mah..... So maybe they will come in Oct or Nov to do 宣传~ haha...... yes!! Can't wait for their nx performance!!!

Up nx in my blog entry will be the details of my Up Close and Personal experience with MAYDAY!!! An experience I always imagine and dream about!!! I always thought I would go crazy if I ever experience it! But.. heehee.... I can be very very sane about it leh~
